*Dialup accounts are not available for students through Washington College. However, off-campus students who want to be able to connect to the Washington College network should sign up with one of the local ISPs (Internet Service Providers).

Obtain a dialup account from the Your ISP.
Make sure the phone line is connected to the modem port in the back of the computer.
Click on "My Computer" (or the computer icon on the desktop).
Click on "Dialup Networking".
Click on the icon for "Make new connection".
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Title the connection "WC Network." Click "next".
The dialup number will be given by your ISP. (Make sure the area code is blank!) Click "next".
After clicking the "Finish" button, double click on the "WC Network" icon.
User name and password is one given to you by your ISP.
Click on "OK" to start the connection.
